Socialite Paris Hilton is giving social media parenting police heartburn again.

The 43-year old hotel heiress sparked backlash after sharing a video of her one-year old, Phoenix, not wearing a life vest on a boat.

"Watching Phoenix explore the world has been so special to me! I am so grateful to be a #SlivingMom," Hilton wrote in the TikTok video.

Hilton under fire

Hilton is the parent of two babies with her husband, businessman Carter Reum.

Both children, Phoenix and London, were born via surrogacy in 2023.

“Momma, please have him wear a life jacket always on a boat!! Stuff happens. That’s why they’re called accidents. With love," one follower wrote.

"My anxiety not seeing him in a life jacket! Can never be too safe on the water!" another follower added.

“It makes me nervous. He needs a life jacket on. I worry so much about him,” a third said.

"Please from one mom to another…life jacket!" one social media user added.

"Not me having a small heart attack bc I didn’t realize there was a net and it wasn’t just water. Adorable little guy! Glad he’s safe. I just woke up sooo…" another user wrote.

Hilton responded to the backlash by thanking her followers for their concern.

“Hey Mamma’s, thank you for the advice & always caring about my #CutesieCrew,” she wrote.

“It’s a big boat & my husband and I are following him around everywhere & watching like hawks,” Hilton continued. “My babies are my world.”

Socialite’s parenting under scrutiny

While Hilton said her son was safe, this isn’t the first time she’s grabbed headlines for her parenting.

In a past incident this year, Hilton faced criticism for putting a life vest on her son backwards.

“Oops! Thank you! I never let him out of my arms. Thought it was backwards too, I said that to the person who I bought it from & they said it was on right. But thank you so much for letting me know,” she wrote. 

Hilton isn’t letting the critics get her down - or take away from her desire to grow her family.

“I would love a sister for London because my sister and I have such a close relationship,” Hilton told E! News in April.

“I don’t know, I’m just enjoying them both so much right now. But that would be really amazing,” she added.
