Tim Walz's brother '100%' opposes his politics

Jeff Walz says that he "100%" opposes his brother's politics, the New York Post reports.

The significance of this is that Jeff Walz is the brother of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), the man whom Vice President Kamala Harris has chosen to be her running mate in the 2024 presidential election.

According to the Post, Jeff Walz is even considering coming out in support of Harris and Walz's opponent, former President Donald Trump.

Suffice it to say that this is bad news for Harris and Walz.

"I'm 100% opposed"

According to the Post, the 67-year-old Jeff Walz commented on the 2024 presidential election on Friday evening.

Speaking about his brother, he said, "I’m 100% opposed to all his ideology."

Considering this, Walz, who lives in Florida, was asked whether he is considering supporting Trump. He replied, "I’ve thought long and hard about doing something like that! I’m torn between that and just keeping my family out of it."

Turning his attention back to his brother, Tim Walz, Jeff Walz said, "The stories I could tell. Not the type of character you want making decisions about your future."

According to Jeff Walz, he and his brother have not spoken in about eight years. In fact, Jeff says that Tim Walz did not even tell his family that he was going to be Harris's running mate. Instead, they found out just as everyone else in America did.

Background

The Post goes on to credit journalist Laura Loomer with having first discovered Facebook posts, from March 30, 2023, in which he expressed opposition to his brother and the Democrats.

March 30, 2023, was the day that Trump was indicted by the George Soros-linked Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D). This was for the so-called hush-money case, in which Trump was subsequently found guilty. This is even though legal experts on both sides of the aisle have raised legitimate questions about the legitimacy of the case.

Jeff Walz, at the time, wrote, "We’ve just become a third world banana republic."

The Post reports:

The registered Republican [Jeff Walz] donated $20 to Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, Federal Election Commission records show. There were no recorded donations to his brother during Tim Walz’ years in the House of Representatives.

One of the craziest parts of this story is how one family could produce children who ended up with such incredibly different political beliefs. At the time of this writing, it is unclear why Jeff and Tim Walz have not spoken in eight years.
