A vice president with the NFL's Washington Commanders was suspended this week after viral video footage showed him calling the African American community "very homophobic."

According to Breitbart, the footage was released on Wednesday by independent journalist James O'Keefe, and it features vice president of content Rael Enteen.

Enteen accused black community of being "inherently very homophobic"

"A big chunk [of the roster] is very low-income African-Americans that comes from a community that is inherently very homophobic," Enteen could be heard saying. He further complained that white players are too religious.

"I love hip-hop," Enteen declared but went on to complain that "hip-hop is very homophobic. It's a cultural thing that I hope gets better."

The former team official also said that players exist on "a spectrum," with "some that are dumb as all hell" while others "are very smart."

"I think there's also a real sad but true reality that some start smart, and they get hit in the head so much that they don't stay smart," he theorized.

Vice president mocked NFL fans as "high school educated alcoholics"

When it came to characterizing those who watch professional football, Enteen said the majority of NFL fans "are high school educated alcoholics."

What's more, Enteen also took aim at the NFL itself, complaining that its promotion of social justice is "performative" as the league is exclusively concerned with making "as much money as possible."

Enteen further alleged that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is a veritable figurehead, with Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones holding real power.

The Washington Commanders vice president then went on to assert that Jones is someone who "hates gay people and black people."

Team disavows Enteen's comments while fans voice outrage on social media

For its part, the team was quick to disavow Enteen's comments in a statement, saying, "The language used in the video runs counter to our values at the Commanders organization."

"We have suspended the employee pending an internal investigation and will reserve further comment at this time," it added.

Sportskeeda reported that Enteen's comments sparked outrage online, with one social media user calling him "a terrible human being."
