The Trump presidential campaign is picking up speed, and he has accomplished what few candidates in recent history have been able to, and he has pulled support from some high-profile Democrats.

That support was on display at the debate on Tuesday event, while Trump faced his Democrat contender for the first time, despite it being his second presidential debate for this cycle.

As The New York Times reported, two prominent former Democrats who have since transitioned to independent status and are now supporting Trump showed up in force to bolster Donald Trump's performance during the Tuesday night debate between the former president and Vice President Kamala Harris.

According to the Trump campaign, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a well-known environmental activist and vaccine skeptic who stopped his own presidential campaign and endorsed Trump last month, was also sharing support at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.

Another Known Name

Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, who unsuccessfully ran for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination before leaving the party and becoming an independent two years ago also announced ahead of the event that she would be supporting Trump during his head-to-head matchup with Harris.

Last month, Gabbard, who has become a favorite of many people on the political right, endorsed Donald Trump.

At the debate, which is the first and possibly only face-to-face showdown between Harris and Trump before Election Day on November 5, a group of prominent Republicans will be present in the spin room alongside Kennedy and Gabbard.

The two candidates will meet face to face for the very first time, and it is possible that this will be their only encounter. JD Vance, a senator from Ohio, was also at the event to support his former president and current running mate.

Other Supporters

This was in addition, the chair of the Republican National Committee, Michael Whatley, and the co-chair of the committee, Lara Trump, who is the daughter-in-law of the former president, who were present in the spin room for Trump.

Vivek Ramaswamy, Governor Doug Burgum of North Dakota, and Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina, who were the candidates that Trump faced off against during the fight for the Republican nomination for president in 2024, also announced their support for Trump before the debate.

Additionally, Senators Marco Rubio and Rick Scott of Florida, as well as Representative Tom Cotton of Arkansas, Representatives Byron Donalds and Matt Gaetz of Florida, as well as Representative Mike Waltz of Texas, and Governor Kristi Noem of South Dakota all appeared in the spin room to back Trump.

The news of the surrogates working in the Trump spin room was initially publicized by Politico.
