Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) has been quite an embarrassment for Vice President Kamala Harris and her campaign since being selected as her VP running mate.

Walz has come under fire for multiple reasons, including his past, false statements about his military service and more recently, embarrassing statements he's made about himself, especially during his debate with Sen. J.D. Vance.

According to the Daily Mail, Walz recently claimed during an interview that he doesn't believe people "care" about his misstatements.

Walz's remarks came during a Fox News interview with host Shannon Bream, who confronted the VP candidate on several misstatements that he's made over the past few months.

What happened?

Walz was hammered by debate moderators regarding previous statements he's made that turned out to be blatantly false, calling himself a "knucklehead" for saying such things.

Bream put Walz on the spot regarding the lies he's told about his past, and the vice presidential candidate essentially sidestepped it.

"What do you say to the American people who think, I don't know if I can trust this guy ... to be the potential commander in chief of this country?" Bream asked.

"I think they heard me, they heard me the other night speaking about gun violence and misspeaking and I gotta be honest with you Shannon, I don’t think people care whether I used IUI or IVF when I talk about this," Walz said.

He added, "‘I think folks know who I am, my constituents here in Minnesota have elected me eight times they know where I’m at and I’m proud to be on the ticket and we’ll deliver just like we have in Minnesota."

Social media reacts

Users across social media weren't buying what Walz was selling.

"Minnesota has voted for Walz because of a complicit media in the state that never asks questions deeper than “What’s your favorite food at the State Fair?” He doesn’t have that cover in the national spotlight - and his “misstatements” are more readily exposed for the lies that they are," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "If the people don’t care about these ‘misstatements’ why does Minnesotas media hide them?"

At the rate Walz is telling lies, it's only a matter of time before the next one hits.
