Former First Lady Melania Trump once said in an interview that she used to call her son Barron "little Donald" when he was a child.

While the towering 18-year-old is now far from being little, leaked video footage does show a stark resemblance to his father.

Clip shows Barron speaking at a Mar-a-Lago event

According to the Daily Mail, the footage was originally posted to the internet in March and it shows Barron Trump attending an event at Mar-a-Lago.

The younger Trump can be heard speaking in the short clip, and one social media user pointed out that "many people were shocked by how similar he sounded to his father, Donald Trump."

The Daily Mail noted how Barron's voice has "a deep and husky timbre, which surprised listeners." Meanwhile, one person remarked that he sounds like elder brother Donald Trump Jr.

President's son hosted dinner with podcasters

Although Barron has maintained a relatively low profile, he did host a dinner earlier this year with a number of podcasters, including entrepreneur and "Valuetainment" host Patrick Bet-David.

Bet-David recounted how he and the other guests "watched Barron run dinner with stories, entertainment--everything."

Bet-David's fellow podcast host Vincent Oshana was at the dinner as well, and described the president's youngest son as being a "witty, smart, hilarious" individual with "a good head on his shoulders."

Host Tom Ellsworth voiced praise for the former president's son too, observing that he "wasn't snide, he wasn't telling dirty jokes, he was very, very balanced, talking about getting ready to go to college."

Barron makes light of his upbringing

What's more, Bet-David highlighted Barron's sense of humor, recalling how at one point Barron made light of his luxurious upbringing.

"People were saying their dad came from a trailer home, everyone was telling their sob story, and Barron's like, 'Yeah, same here, I mean, I was born in the penthouse of a building all the way up top. Life was hard,'" the host said.

Bet-David also expressed admiration for how Barron appears to be unconcerned by getting personally attacked, stating, "I don't care--good, do it. I get it, they've done it to every kid. What's the difference?"
