Despite being a more private person than some of her predecessors, former First Lady Melania Trump has revealed new details about herself in a new memoir titled "Melania."

The former first lady covered a number of topics, including her longtime marriage to former President Donald Trump.

Mrs. Trump drawn to husband's "magnetic" energy

According to the New York Post, Mrs. Trump recalled how she met her husband in September of 1998 at a New York Fashion Week event.

"I was captivated by his charm and easygoing nature," she stated, with the future Mrs. Trump finding herself "drawn to his magnetic energy."

"The gossip columns labeled me a 'gold digger,'" the former first lady complained before dismissing the accusation as being "baseless."

Mrs. Trump pointed out that by 1998 she was already a successful and highly paid fashion model who could "easily have captured the attention of numerous celebrities" had she been interested in doing so.

Former First Lady tried to call her husband right after his shooting

Not all of the memories Mrs. Trump shared were positive, as she also provided details about the day this past summer when her husband was shot.

The former First Lady recalled how she and her son Barron were at their home in Bedminster, New Jersey when the attempted assassination took place.

"I rushed to the TV and pressed play. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing," she explained. "I watched the chaos unfold: the gunfire, Donald instinctively reaching up to his head."

"He's on the ground. Are you sure he's OK?" the former first lady asked her husband's chief of staff before attempting to call.

Attempted assassination was a "traumatic" experience for Barron Trump

After the former president failed to answer, Mrs. Trump proceeded to call his Secret Service detail, who handed him the phone "after what seemed like an eternity."

She stressed that she and her husband were not alone in being impacted by the event; their son was deeply affected as well.

"Can I explain how traumatic it is for a child to witness the attempted murder of his father? The relentless replay of the rally footage on the news only intensified our anxiety," she remarked.

"Each time we saw Donald's bloodied face, I had to remind myself that I had actually just spoken to him, heard his voice, and knew that he was safe," Mrs. Trump went on to add.
