VP Kamala Harris deploys 'Black accent' during speech at Philadelphia church
Another week has passed, and Vice President Kamala Harris has blessed us with yet another amazing accent switch, once again, while she spoke to a predominantly Black audience.
According to the Daily Mail, Harris was torched across social media for the sudden accent switch, which many find insanely offensive.
The return of her "Black accent" came during a stump speech at a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania church. Pennsylvania is one of the most crucial battleground states for both Harris and former President Donald Trump.
Harris has used her fake accent in the past with other Black audiences, stirring controversy each time.
What did she say?
Social media users pointed out that Harris, while speaking at the church, suddenly began speaking as if she was a southern Baptist preacher while quoting a Bible verse.
"Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. The path may seem hard, the work may seem heavy, but joy cometh in the morning. And church morning is on its way," Harris said in the video clip, which went viral for how ridiculous she sounds.

The Daily Mail noted:
The VP has faced accusations of a 'fake accent' before, but with just days until the 2024 presidential election, she can't afford to lose any support, especially among black voters, which are a key group for her clinching a win on November 5.
On multiple occasions, Harris has switched her accent to pander to whatever audience and demographic she's speaking to. The accent switch has been widely criticized, including from Trump, who has pointed out in the past that Harris isn't Black.
Harris was absolutely torched across social media after the video clip of her Philadelphia church speech went viral.
Social media reacts
Users across social media weighed in on Harris' sudden, yet predictable, accent switch.
"Are we just going to skip over the part where a CHURCH let Kamala Harris speak? Kamala Harris essentially told Christians they were not welcome at her rallies," one X user wrote.
Another X user wrote, "People should be absolutely offended by this."
With several days to go before Election Day, there's no telling how many accents Harris will deploy by then.
