Bill Clinton admits that "the economy was better" under Trump
Former President Bill Clinton is one of the major Democratic figures who have been campaigning on behalf of Vice President Kamala Harris.
Yet as Breitbart pointed out this week, Clinton dealt Harris an unintentional blow by admitting that the economy was better under former President Donald Trump.
Clinton's words bring groans from audience members
"I don't think it's right to say that people have to vote for Donald Trump because the economy was better then," Clinton said in Michigan on Wednesday.

While Breitbart noted that although Clinton's remarks were met with "groans from the audience," he nevertheless pressed on.
The former president spoke of being "entitled to my opinion about who would be better" as he "did pretty well" during his eight years in the White House.
Clinton: Laken Riley would "probably" be alive if killer had been "properly vetted"
This isn't the first time that Clinton has made comments that seem to cut against Harris' interests, as he also did so two weeks ago at a campaign stop in Georgia.
New York Post contributor Miranda Devine pointed out how Clinton told reporters that Laken Riley's murder "probably wouldn't have happened" if her alleged killer had been "properly vetted."
Riley was a 22-year-old Augusta University College nursing student who was killed near her apartment building in February of this year.
The man accused of murdering her is Jose Ibarra, a 26-year-old Venezuelan illegal migrant who prosecutors maintain is connected with the notorious gang known as Tren de Aragua.
Clinton spokeswoman: Trump campaign took remarks "out of context"
Meanwhile, The Hill reported that former President Donald Trump's campaign was quick to seize upon Clinton's remarks by making use of them in an advertisement.
"Kamala Harris claimed the border was 'secure' just days after Laken Riley's illegal immigrant killer Jose Ibarra crossed into the nation. Ibarra was caught at the border and then released into the country by Kamala Harris," the ad declared.
"President Trump will secure the border and stop catch-and-release. This is why he was just endorsed by the Border Patrol Union," it went on to insist.
For her part, Clinton spokeswoman Angel Ureña provided a statement to The Hill which accused the Trump campaign of having "disingenuously" taken former President Clinton's remarks "out of context."
