New poll suggests that Kamala Harris could lose in New Hampshire
New Hampshire has become a reliably blue state in recent decades, having not voted for a Republican presidential candidate since 2000.
Yet in what would be a humiliating development, a recent poll suggests that Vice President Kamala Harris could be in danger of losing the Granite State.
Survey has Harris trailing Trump by nearly half a point
According to Newsweek, the New Hampshire Journal/Praecones Analytica survey was carried out between October 24 and 26.
It showed former President Donald Trump getting 50.2% of the vote compared with 49.8% for Harris. That fact was touted by Karoline Leavitt, who serves as the Trump campaign's national press secretary.
"There's a reason Kamala Harris has been spending money in New Hampshire. She's on defense and knows President Trump is on the path to victory," Leavitt was quoted as saying in a statement on Wednesday.
"To my fellow Granite Staters who want to keep our beautiful state safe, business friendly, and free — get out and vote for President Trump," she continued.
The campaign press secretary went on to characterize Harris as being "a radical liberal who would destroy New Hampshire and America forever."
Trump visits other traditionally blue states as campaign winds down
Breitbart noted that this came to the attention of political analyst Mark Halperin, who mentioned it during his Thursday podcast.
Outside the seven swing states, says @MarkHalperin, there are four blue states that the Trump campaign thinks it has a shot at winning: Minnesota, Virginia, New Hampshire and New Mexico, where Donald Trump is holding a rally today. He’ll visit Virginia on Saturday. “It's an… pic.twitter.com/xcEq4V12u3

"It's an interesting chess game," Halperin told listeners. "People thought it was silly of Trump to go to New Mexico, silly to go to Virginia."
Trump lost in New Hampshire by 7.4% in 2020
The analyst pointed out how if Trump "can win one of those four and hold the Sun Belt states, then Kamala Harris can’t win."
Meanwhile, Newsweek stressed that a recent Emerson College poll gave the vice president a three-point advantage over her Republican challenger in New Hampshire.
What's more, Fox News reported that Trump ultimately lost in the Granite State to President Joe Biden by 7.4% four years ago.
