Hugh Hewitt quits the Washington Post
Hugh Hewitt, the conservative news commentator, has resigned from the Washington Post.
The bigger story, though, is the way he did it.
He resigned, according to the New York Post, after getting into a feud with two leftist journalists on a live talk show that he walked out of. Take a look:
Hilarious! Enjoy the pearl clutching of the Washington Post’s Jonathan Capehart as his lying bullshit is called out live by the great Hugh Hewitt.

Here is what happened:
The above video is from the Washington Post's online show First Look. There, Hewitt appeared on Friday alongside Jonathan Capehart and Ruth Marcus.
The topic of conversation was election integrity. Capehart and Marcus tried to claim that Trump is laying the groundwork to challenge the results of the 2024 election.
Capehart asked Marcus:
Does it seem like Donald Trump is laying the groundwork for contesting the election by complaining that cheating was taking place in Pennsylvania? By suing Bucks County for alleged irregularities, and this is on top of his continual assertion that if he loses, it's because of cheating.
Marcus agreed, claiming, "No election can be fair in Donald Trump's mind unless Donald Trump wins it."
As Marcus continued to speak, Hewitt tried to jump in, but Capehart refused to let him. When he did finally get to speak, he contradicted this whole narrative. Capehart then accused him of lying, which caused Hewitt to get up and leave.
"I quit"
Hewitt has confirmed to Fox News that he has indeed quit the Washington Post.
Per the outlet:
"I have in fact quit the Post, but I was only writing a column for them every six weeks or so," Hewitt told Fox News Digital, adding he'd recently offered to write another pro-Trump column for the paper ahead of the election. He informed editorial page editor David Shipley on Friday morning.
This, of course, will not be that big of a loss for Hewitt. He has a nationally syndicated radio show, and chances are that he will receive even more support now that he is leaving the Post behind for its obvious bias.
This situation could, however, hurt the Post. Hewitt was one of the only conservative voices at the Post, and losing him will not do much to help the Post convince people that it is not a propaganda machine for the Democratic Party.
This all comes after the Post refused to endorse either candidate in the 2024 presidential election. The newspaper has faced a huge backlash from leftists - including its own leftist employees - for this decision. The decision was made by owner Jeff Bezos.
