Some Harris campaign insiders are lashing out at the candidate and her inner circle

President-elect Donald Trump pulled off a major victory this week by becoming the first Republican to win the popular vote in two decades.

While many observers have attributed that outcome to Trump's connection with working class voters, Democratic whistleblowers say part of the explanation lies with who he was running against.

Some senior staff "acted like they knew they were going to win"

According to the New York Post, some of those who were employed by Vice President Kamala Harris are voicing frustrations about the Democratic nominee and her inner circle.

"I've worked on five presidential campaigns. I knew this would be hard. Others acted like they knew they were going to win," one unnamed person was quoted as saying.

Another figure took aim at Harris campaign chairwoman Jen O’Malley Dillon and the ways in which she spent the vice president's massive war chest, remarking, "Where did $1 billion go?"

Former Obama campaign leaders derided for being "the worst"

Other figures to receive criticism are David Plouffe and Stephanie Cutter, both of whom served on former President Barack Obama's successful campaigns.

One source described Plouffe and Cutter as being "the worst" as they tried to make "an Obama play with a non-Obama candidate."

"Cutter and Plouffe were doing messaging and ads and they misjudged what people cared about because cable news and Twitter are not real life. Biden should have never run [in 2024] AND the party is too far left," the person declared.

There were also complaints lodged over Harris herself, with someone asserting that she was "a s--t candidate" and "people didn’t connect with her."

Source: "The campaign staff live in a vacuum of 'they/them' and 'Latinx'"

"I think broadly the staff of Democratic campaigns are not representative of the country," a source told the newspaper.

These staffers, advisers and consultants who went to Ivy League schools and are [Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez] liberals don’t represent real Americans," the source continued before adding, "The campaign staff live in a vacuum of 'they/them' and 'Latinx.'"

Yet the negative feelings aren't limited to Harris, as some are also feeling bitter towards the man who she serves under as vice president.

"I blame Biden for not announcing earlier that he wouldn’t run. Dems could have had a robust open primary," another source stated.
