Viral video clip suggests simmering tension between Kamala Harris and Jill Biden
There have been growing accounts of Democratic infighting since Vice President Kamala Harris' humiliating defeat by President-elect Donald Trump last week.
That phenomenon has apparently reached the White House, as evidenced by a tense interaction between the vice president and First Lady Jill Biden at a Veterans Day event.
Harris met with "stoned faced" expression
As Fox News reported, independent journalist Andy Ngo posted a video clip to X which captured the awkward atmosphere surrounding Harris and Mrs. Biden.
"At a Veteran’s Day commemoration event in the capital, a stone[d] face Jill Biden and Kamala Harris sit with a distance between one another," Ngo wrote.

"Harris supporters have been blaming President Biden (in addition to racism, white supremacy, fascism and misogyny) for her losing the election," he added.
Benny Johnson: "They're not taking the loss well"
Ngo was far from being the only one to make that observation, as Fox News observed that cable news commentator and former Trump campaign staffer Steve Cortes spoke up as well.
"It's safe to say that Jill Biden hates Kamala Harris's guts," Cortes wrote in a social media post of his own which featured another clip showing the pair from a different angle.
Conservative activist Benny Johnson also took note of the dynamics between the first lady and the vice president, writing, "They're not taking the loss well."
"Watch Jill Biden evidently give Kamala the cold shoulder as she arrives at Arlington National Cemetery. Kamala shook everyone’s hand before swiftly racing past Jill as the cameras were rolling," he stressed.
Book: Harris and Mrs. Biden have a history of tension
Talk of tension between Harris and Mrs. Biden is not new, a subject which was covered by the 2022 book titled "This Will Not Pass: Trump, Biden, and the Battle for America's Future."
According to Fox News, authors Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns wrote that the first lady objected to Harris' selection as her husband's running mate.
"There are millions of people in the United States," Martin and Burns quoted Mrs. Biden as saying in 2020. "Why do we have to choose the one who attacked Joe?"
Mrs. Biden is said to have taken issue with how Harris suggested during a 2019 debate that Joe Biden would have prevented her from attending an integrated school.
