Judge Chutkan grants Jack Smith's motions to dismiss cases against Donald Trump
How the mighty have fallen. Jack Smith had to swallow a lot of pride this week after he filed a motion to have his cases against President-elect Donald Trump dropped.
According to the New York Post, US District Judge Tanya Chutkan of Washington, DC, granted Smith's motion to have the cases dismissed, marking a major, humiliating blow to President Joe Biden's Department of Justice.
Smith and his prosecutors, for years, have tried to hamstring Trump with what's been described as political "lawfare."
Trump and his supporters celebrated the news across social media this week, and Trump described Smith's actions as a "low point in the History of our Country."
What's going on?
Not only was the case dismissed by Judge Chutkan, but Smith also moved to cancel an appeal of a Florida judge's decision to quash the classified documents case he was running against Trump at the same time.
Interestingly, the classified documents case was the one that many legal observers believed to bring the highest potential consequences against Mr. Trump.
Trump let his thoughts on the matter be known, in no uncertain fashion, on his Truth Social account this week.
“These cases, like all of the other cases I have been forced to go through, are empty and lawless, and should never have been brought," Trump wrote.
He added, "Over $100 Million Dollars of Taxpayer Dollars has been wasted in the Democrat Party’s fight against their Political Opponent, ME. Nothing like this has ever happened in our Country before."
I am officially NOT GUILTY on all counts. All of these WITCH HUNT cases brought by Jack Smith and other corrupt prosecutors against your favorite President, Teflon Don, have been dropped! We cannot continue to prosecute political opponents in the future!

Social media reacts
Trump's supporters reacted to the news, celebrating the end of the Biden regime's relentless prosecution of Trump.
"I hope every single one of those involved, including the legacy media, are held responsible for the damage done to him and his family as well as his supporters," one X user wrote.
Another X user wrote, "Political persecution at its finest! But they have nothing! Nada!"
Hopefully, that's the end of the Democrats' legal pursuits against Trump, and payback is probably coming.
