Top Harris campaign aides reveal internal polling never showed Harris beating Trump

It's bad enough that Vice President Kamala Harris lost in such a humiliating defeat to President-elect Donald Trump, but now that the dust is settling, even more bad -- and shady -- news is emerging from her camp.

According to Fox News, several aides to Harris on her campaign have broke their silence in recent days and one indicated that their internal polling never showed Harris beating Trump on Election Day.

But even with this knowledge, that didn't stop Harris and her campaign from collecting massive checks from mega-donors.

DNC officials also say they were left in the dark on the internal polling numbers that essentially showed Trump winning the entire time.

What's going on?

DNC National Finance Committee member and Harris campaign fundraiser Lindy Li is one of the several Harris campaign aides who have revealed a behind-the-scenes look at her campaign and what was really happening behind closed doors.

Li revealed that the DNC was not told about the Harris campaign's internal polling, which clearly showed Trump winning the election.

"We were told definitely that she had a shot at winning – it wasn't even a shot. I was even told that Pennsylvania was looking good, that we would win 3-4 swing states," Li told Fox News Digital.

She added, "And on the night of election night… we were told that we were going to win Iowa."

Fox News noted:

But Harris senior adviser David Plouffe presented a much different analysis of the vice president's chances at that point in time on "Pod Save America," a show hosted by staffers of former President Barack Obama.

Plouffe confessed that the campaign didn't get the "breaks" they needed on Election Day.

"Not normal"

Information regarding the internal polls that showed Harris consistently lagging behind Trump was not shared with the DNC or other parties that otherwise should have been notified, which was described as not a normal practice.

"I've been doing this since I graduated from college more than a decade [ago]. Absolutely not," Li said, referring to the lack of information shared from Harris' campaign.

Li hinted that Harris and her campaign have lost trust from donors, and that the trust will have to somehow be regained, as they were taking in piles of money knowing that they likely wouldn't win.

Only time will tell if the Democrats' fundraising machine can be repaired, as it's looking pretty bad right now.
