Social media users point to Barron Trump's height, suggest he should play basketball
Eighteen-year-old Barron Trump made headlines this fall when he began attending classes at New York University's Stern School of Business.
While the famous freshman is apparently focused on his studies, some observers believe that he could be missing out on an athletic career.
Social media users say Barron should play basketball
According to the Irish Times, a number of social media users have suggested that Barron, who stands six feet nine inches tall, would be an imposing figure on the basketball court.
"He's a good-looking young man and he's a good boy. I know they're proud of him, but damn I can't believe he didn't play basketball with his height. I hope he doesn't regret it one day," one X user was quoted as writing.
The Times noted that President-elect Donald Trump addressed the idea of his son playing basketball during a podcast interview in June.

"He's a big boy," the then-candidate said of his son. "And I couldn't get him to play basketball. He plays soccer. He's a good athlete, too."
Lara Trump: Barron deserves "some serious credit"
While Barron may have little interest in sinking baskets, his sister-in-law says that the president-elect's youngest son played an important role in his father's campaign.
The Independent reported that Mrs. Trump made the claim last month during an interview with podcast host Patrick Bet-David.
"There have been many times I’ve been traveling over the course of the campaign with my father-in-law in the car," said Trump, who serves as co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC).
"Barron will call and say, 'Dad, I have an idea of how you can get more votes,' and it’ll be, you know, 'You need to go to this baseball stadium' or whatever," she explained before adding that Barron deserves "some serious credit."
Barron recommended podcast for his father to go on
Meanwhile, longtime Trump adviser Jason Miller said Barron was instrumental in shaping the campaign's podcast strategy.
"Barron has been very involved in recommending a number of the podcasts that we should do," the New York Post quoted Miller as telling Politico's "Playbook Deep Dive."
"I got to tell you, hats off to the young man. Every single recommendation he’s had has turned out to be absolute ratings gold that’s broke the internet. He’s done a great job," Miller stressed.
