After years of working in the Trump family's political operation, Kimberly Guilfoyle is being sent into Mediterranean exile.

The longtime fiancée of Donald Jr. is no longer engaged to him, as he pursues a new romance with Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson.

While she is officially out of the Trump family, Guilfoyle is still slated to work for the Trump administration as an ambassador to Greece.

The rumors of Don Jr.'s relationship with Anderson began to circulate months ago, reportedly leaving Guilfoyle "blindsided."

A factor in the relationship falling apart was reportedly Guilfoyle's business-like personal style, sources told People. The ex-prosecutor's look bothered Don Jr., who felt Anderson, who comes from a well-connected Palm Beach family, would impress his father better.

"Don Jr. has been telling people for months that Kim is so uptight and always dresses so professionally in these kinds of dresses and high heels, and never looks relaxed or casual," an insider told People.  

With Guilfoyle headed to Greece, it certainly looks to some like the Trump clan found a way to wash their hands of the former prosecutor and ex-wife to Gavin Newsom, who in recent years joined the Trump family's orbit.

"They are trying to send Kim abroad," another source told People. "They waited for the election to pass but they didn’t want the split to get in the way of anything to hurt Donald in the election."

Don Jr. responds

Don Jr. brought his new girlfriend to Mar-A-Lago this week, making his new romance all but official - one night after the Daily Mail posted pictures of the couple holding hands.

In a statement on Friday, Don Jr. hinted his engagement was over to PageSix after the outlet reported his breakup.

“Kimberly and I will never stop caring for each other and will always keep a special bond," he said.

"I could not be more proud of her and the important role she’ll continue to play in my father‘s administration.”

"Since the very beginning, no one on Team Trump has worked harder than Kimberly to help elect and reelect my father — and no one deserves this ambassadorship more than she does," he continued.

While neither Don Jr. nor Guilfoyle have acknowledged the end of their engagement, it appears to be simply a matter of time before they make it official.
