Meghan Markle has been betrayed by The Cut, her favorite magazine. 

This is according to a new report from The Mirror.

It turned against her, according to the outlet, in a newly published piece, titled, Harry and Meghan's Projects Can't Stop Flopping. 

There would seem to be quite a bit of truth behind the title.

A "scathing review"

For those unfamiliar with The Cut, the Daily Mail explains that it is part of New York Magazine. It is the site, according to the outlet, that "published a cover interview with the Duchess, 43, in August 2022 in which she made controversial comments about the royal family."

It would appear that times have changed since then.

The Mirror reports:

Pop culture news and entertainment writer Danielle Cohen commented on the couple's "tortured attempts to launch a successful Stateside endeavour" which she wrote "continued this week" with the release of Polo on Netflix. The five-part series about Prince Harry's favourite sport has been met with poor reviews, leading Cohen to predict: "Seems like this one is bound for the same fate as Markle's beleaguered jam company."

The newly released Polo is billed as a "rousing docuseries [that] goes behind the scenes of professional polo, offering an unprecedented look into the players' lives on and off the field."

The show, thus far, is not doing well.

Polo is not the only recent failure of Markle's that has been brought up by The Cut.

"This critique comes shortly after The Cut highlighted the struggles faced by Meghan's American Riviera Orchard 'lifestyle brand,' which launched by gifting jars of strawberry jam to celebrities such as Kris Jenner and Chrissy Teigen," The Mirror reports.

The Mirror goes on to explain how "this was followed by allegations that employees were leaving the new company, coupled with a trademark dispute from US food and gift company Harry and David, which sells Royal Riviera Pears."

With all of this in mind it is safe to say that things, here in the United States, do not seem to be going Markle's way. There have even been articles suggesting that Harry and Markle's relationship is on the rocks.

Harry recently tried to tamp down on the divorce rumors with a public statement, sardonically trying to shoot them down, saying:

Apparently we’ve bought or moved house maybe 10, 12 times. We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well [laughs]. So it’s just like, what? It’s hard to keep up with. But that’s why you just sort of ignore it.
