Trump has made 'progress' on Ukraine peace talks, blames Biden for North Korea involvement
A few years ago, one of the liberals' main arguments about Donald Trump was that you shouldn't trust him to have his finger on the nuclear launch button. By the time 2024 had rolled around, Donald Trump's reputation had completely flipped.
One of the reasons Trump won the election was because people are tired of the bloodshed we saw around the world under the Biden administration. Trump promised to end it, and it would appear as though he's off to a nice start on that front.
According to the New York Post, "President-elect Donald Trump said Monday that he’s made “progress” toward brokering a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia — while blaming retiring President Biden for unleashing the recent North Korean intervention in the war."
Donald Trump has already been in discussion to end the conflict, backing up his campaign trail claims.
"Candidate of Peace"
It was important to Trump's team to cut through the fake news and make sure America knew exactly how much safer the world was when Donald Trump was in office. Despite former Trump administration officials like General John Kelly and General Mark Milly saying that Trump is a danger to Democracy, the exact opposite is true.
Liberals are the ones who haven't been achieving peace. The premature evacuation in Afghanistan that left 13 American servicemembers dead happened on Biden's watch. Hamas slaughtering innocent people from Israel happened on Biden's watch. The war in Ukraine started on Biden's watch.
JD Vance recently responded to criticisms about Trump being dangerous, defending Donald as the "candidate of peace" and dismissing Mark Milley and John Kelly as "disgruntled former employees."
"Donald Trump was already president for four years. If he was who John Kelly said he was, then why did Donald Trump deliver peace and prosperity?" Vance said.
Liberals not being able to figure out the answer to that question was one of the reasons Trump won the presidency. However, talk is one thing. It's time for President-elect Trump to show some progress.
Peace in Ukraine?
President-elect Trump is claiming that he's already made "progress" toward peace in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, but also admitted that things might take a little longer than originally anticipated. Trump also said that this is something different than what's going on in the Middle East.
"We’ve got a little progress. It’s a tough one. It’s a nasty one," Trump said during a recent press conference. "I think the Middle East will be in a good place. I think actually more difficult is going to be the Russia-Ukraine situation. I see that as more difficult."
Trump blamed Joe Biden for letting the war between Ukraine and Russia get this bad:
"I don’t think they should have allowed missiles to be shot 200 miles into Russia," Trump said. "I think that was a bad thing and that brought the Koreans in — North Korea, another man I get along with very well. I’m the only one that does. But that did a lot of bad things. I don’t think that should have been allowed… certainly not just weeks before I take over. Why would they do that without asking me what I thought? I wouldn’t have had them do that. I think it was a big mistake they made."
Trump then added that he might reverse that order: "I might, yeah. I thought it was a very stupid thing to do."
North Korea joined Russian troops in November 2024, signaling that the conflict is getting worse, not better. Let's hope there's still a chance for recovery by the time Donald Trump gets in office.
