Steve Bannon on Elon Musk: Going to have him 'run out of here by inauguration day’

Steve Bannon, the former senior advisor to Donald Trump, has renewed his criticism of Elon Musk, asserting that he will personally ensure that the entrepreneur is "ejected" from the president-elect's inner circle before his inauguration next week.

The MAGA infighting was further exacerbated on Sunday when Bannon once again criticized Musk's endorsement of the H-1B program, as The Daily Mail reported.

This program enables US employers to issue temporary nonimmigrant visas to address skills deficits in sectors that necessitate highly specialized knowledge.

The White House chief strategist of Trump's first term, who was terminated in August 2017 after serving for seven months, referred to Musk as a "truly evil person" and declared that the process of reducing his influence on the incoming commander-in-chief had become "personal."

From Bannon

“I will get Elon Musk kicked out by the time he’s inaugurated. He won’t have a blue pass with full access to the White House. He’ll be like everyone else,” Bannon told Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.

“He’s a truly evil person. Stopping him has become a personal issue for me. Before, since he’s put in so much money, I was prepared to tolerate it. Not anymore.”

Musk, who has been a near-constant presence around Trump since the president-elect's victory at the ballot box in November, has earned the nickname "First Buddy."

Personal Involvement

He is set to lead the non-official, newly-established Department of Government Efficiency alongside one-time vice-presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy.

According to reports, he allocated over $270 million of his personal funds to assist in Trump's reelection during the election cycle.

The majority of this expenditure was made through his super-political action committee, America PAC.

Bannon's Racial Implications

After Silicon Valley tech figures, including Musk and Ramaswamy, expressed their support for the visas, which are intended for highly-skilled immigrants who work in finance, engineering, healthcare, and technology, the vehemently anti-immigrant sect of Trumpworld has been thrown into a tailspin.

Bannon contends that the visas, in turn, rob American citizens of their jobs: “The problem is that techno-feudalists are using them to their advantage, and people are furious,” Bannon continued.

The long-standing Trump supporter has contended that Musk, who was born in South Africa and previously held an H-1B visa, is only serving his own interests by supporting the program. The Tesla CEO is benefiting from the hiring of qualified foreign workers for his own companies.

Pushing South Africans Out

Bannon subsequently grouped Musk with his fellow South African tech titans, David Sachs and Peter Thiel, and advised them to return to South Africa.

“Why do we have white South Africans, the most racist people in the world, commenting on everything that happens in the United States?” he said.

“He will do anything to make sure that every company he owns is protected or has a better deal or makes more money. The aggregation of wealth and, through wealth, power: that is his goal. American workers will not tolerate it.”

Bannon subsequently asserted that Musk's sole objective is to become a "trillionaire."
