Palisades fire could have been caused by New Year's Eve fireworks fire: Report
Democrats and their allies in the mainstream media were quick to blame "extreme climate change" for the wildfires that broke out in California, which have resulted in dozens dead and untold billions in damage and destruction.
However, according to Breitbart, a bombshell report on Sunday revealed that the origin of the Palisades fire was likely a result of fireworks launched on New Year's Eve.
That, along with recent arrests of suspected arsonists, clearly suggests that so-called "climate change" had nothing to do with what started the widespread fires.
Perhaps most surprising was that the shocking report resulted from an investigation into "photos, videos, satellite imagery, and radio communications" by The Washington Post.
What's going on?
In the report, "new evidence" was discovered by the paper that pointed to New Year's Eve fireworks being the wildfire culprit, based on communications and events logged by firefighters just six days prior to when the fires spread in the Palisades.
Breitbart noted:
An investigation into “photos, videos, satellite imagery and radio communications” by the Washington Post revealed that “new evidence” showed that “the Palisades Fire started in the area where firefighters had spent hours using helicopters to knock down a blaze six days earlier.” The earlier fire is reportedly believed to have been caused by fireworks.
The destructive and deadly Palisades fire "started in the vicinity of the old fire," the report indicated.
According to the outlet, that information suggests that the fire previously fought in the area by firefighters "reignited," which completely crushes any notion that the fire was caused by "climate change."
@mazemoore there was a fire in the same place on the 1st of January. Like, exact place the current palisades fire happened. I live there and saw it, they suspected a rogue firework… I firmly believe it, and this fire, was arson. Video from Jan 1st pic.twitter.com/LaMBvve3t2

Given the new information, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATF) has taken the lead on the investigation.
"Started by idiots"
A reported witness to the fire that was sparked by fireworks told the outlet and and ATF investigator that he witnessed "idiots" setting off the fire.
Breitbart noted:
The Washington Post reported that a resident who had been “cleaning ash out of his home” explained to the outlet “and an ATF officer” that the wildfires in the Los Angeles area were “started by idiots” on New Year’s Eve, noting that people have “to know better.”
"You got to know better," the witness reportedly told the outlet. "It’s dry. There’s no precipitation. I don’t know if you’ve ever been camping, but when you go camping and put a fire out, that doesn’t mean that it’s not hot below. Then the Santa Anas came on Monday, and that’s what started, that’s what reignited the fire."
It'll be interesting to watch the liberal media outlets and Democrats have to walk back their original, knee-jerk "climate change" theories.
