Ahead of President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration, an iconic scene unfolded in front of a government plane showing the Trump family's legendary return to Washington D.C.

According to Breitbart, the Trump family was seen getting out of a vehicle on the tarmac and walking up the stairs to a plane that ultimately took them to the nation's capital where the incoming president has vowed to begin working to save America on Day One.

Trump's millions of fans applauded the incoming first family and expressed relief that we once again have a president who can actually walk up a flight of stairs to an awaiting aircraft.

Many of Trump's supporters in Congress also commented on the excitement of Trump heading back to to the White House.

What happened?

Video of the president-elect and his stunning family immediately went viral, drawing a mountain of replies and well wishes -- and expressions of hope that America once again has a chance at returning to the glory it experienced under Trump during his first term in office.

"BREAKING: President Donald J. Trump and the First Lady have boarded an official U.S. government plane and will soon depart for Washington, D.C," Trump's War Room wrote in X while also posting a video clip of the Trump family boarding the plane.

Video also emerged of Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump boarding a plane headed to Washington D.C., undoubtedly set to attend her father's inauguaration and the celebrations that will follow.

The excitement was still palpable even as the incoming president made the tough call to move the ceremonies inside due to the forecasted record-setting cold weather settling in over D.C. this week.

Many who had tickets to attend the inauguration ceremony were ultimately told they couldn't due to limited seating inside the Capitol Rotunda.
