Many high-ranking Democrats attended President Donald Trump's inauguration ceremonies, including past presidents like Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

While it was respectable that they showed up, unlike Michelle Obama who snubbed the event, Hillary Clinton was spotted having a bit of a laughing fit while Trump delivered his Inauguration Day speech, the Daily Mail reported. 

The situation happened as Trump was sworn in as the 47th president inside the Capitol Rotunda on Monday. The event was moved indoors due to dangerously cold weather conditions in the Washington D.C. area.

What happened?

Included in his speech was a promise to sign over 200 executive orders on Day One of his presidency, and the president went through many of those initiatives, some of which elicited laughter from the peanut gallery -- Hillary Clinton.

"Today, I will sign a series of historic executive orders,' Trump said. "With these actions, we will begin the complete restoration of America and the revolution of common sense – it's all about common sense."

He added, "America will reclaim its rightful place as the greatest, most powerful, most respected nation on earth, inspiring the awe and admiration of the entire world."

Trump then mentioned one of his first orders of business, which seemed to spark the chuckling session from Hillary, who was beaten by Trump, badly, in the 2016 presidential election.

"A short time from now, we are going to be changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America," Trump said.

Former President Bill Clinton can be seen grinning during the moment while his wife laughed very noticeably.

Social media reaction

Users across social media had plenty to say about Hillary's laughing moment.

"She's laughing because she knows that Trump literally just Trumped Bidens EO. Poetic justice," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "Biden specifically named the Gulf of Mexico in his offshore drilling ban. Trump changed the name to get around that EO. Try to keep up. Trump will be drilling in the Gulf of America. Chess not checkers."
