Trump erases Biden's healthcare policies on Day One back in White House
On his first day in office, President Donald Trump took a giant eraser to former President Joe Biden's policy book, which included erasing some of former President Barack Obama's initiatives, too.
According to Fox News, as he retook the Oval Office, the president rolled back Biden's healthcare policies, which involved expansions he had made to the Affordable Care Act (ACA), sometimes referred to as "Obamacare."
Trump, with the stroke of a pen, revoked Biden's efforts to expand access to Obamacare.
He also restored the program "to the way it was before Trump became president," according to the outlet.
What's going on?
Among other Day One executive orders and actions executed by Trump, rolling back Biden's healthcare initiatives was near the top of the list, and the move upset many Democrats.
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) released an angry statement earlier this week in the wake of Trump's actions to undo Biden's healthcare policies.
"Donald Trump’s immediate priority as president is ripping away affordable health care coverage for tens of millions of Americans and screwing over people with preexisting conditions," the DNC Wrote.

Fox News noted:
Shortly after taking office in January 2021, Biden passed Executive Order 14009, titled the "Strengthening Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act." The move, which Trump rescinded as part of his Day One executive actions, doubled the window of time that uninsured Americans had to apply to participate in the federal insurance program. Under Trump's first term, the ACA's open enrollment period was six weeks long.
Biden also signed a second EO to "strengthen" access to the benefits of the ACA.
Fox News added:
Meanwhile, in April of the following year, Biden signed a second executive order on "Continuing to Strengthen Americans’ Access to Affordable, Quality Health Coverage," which Trump also reversed on Monday. The April order from Biden directed the Department of Health and Human Services to analyze new policies aimed at "exploring how medical debts are collected from beneficiaries," in order to find new ways to reduce "the burden of medical debt on working families and individuals across the country."
Other actions
Trump used his powers to rescind several of Biden's pandemic-era policies -- a move widely cheered by Trump's supporters.
He also withdrew the United States from the World Health Organization (WHO) on his first day in office.
Trump is obviously serious about resetting the country to get everything back on track, and Democrats are hopping mad as a result.
