During the transition period between Election Day and the inauguration, the gossip rags and tabloids all began to report and confirm that Donald Trump Jr. had split up with former fiancé Kimberly Guilfoyle to instead date new girlfriend Bettina Anderson.

Anderson largely stayed off social media for the past few months while the relationship rumors swirled but recently resumed her prior habit of making public posts on Instagram, Inquisitr reported.

Meanwhile, as Don Jr. and Anderson continue to grow their months-old relationship, there is still some media attention focused on Guilfoyle and how she is handling the breaking off of her years-long engagement to the president's eldest son.

Anderson active on social media again

Don Jr.'s new relationship with Anderson, a Palm Beach socialite, wasn't fully confirmed until he began to bring her around the Mar-a-Lago crowd in December, but there were indications that they were a pair as early as September, while he was still technically engaged to marry Guilfoyle.

It was in mid-September that Anderson posted a trio of photos on Instagram of her posing outside a "private" driveway that she captioned with a cryptic quote from a TV character that said, "Gossip is the devil’s telephone. Best to just hang up."

Over the next few months, Anderson made a few unofficial posts by sharing "stories" on her Instagram, including to mark her birthday, major holidays, and President Donald Trump's inaugural events, but has now made another official post to highlight a local charitable fundraiser event she attended last Friday.

"Last night’s Galentine’s event at @aliceandolivia was a dream!" Anderson wrote to caption a series of photos from the event. "We had the best time celebrating friendship, love, and community, all while supporting the incredible work of @selflesslovefoundation -- making a difference in the lives of young people in foster care and helping them build brighter futures."

"So grateful for the chance to give back and have fun with amazing women!" she added.

Spotted in public with new girlfriend

Inquisitr noted that Don Jr. and Anderson were first spotted sharing a kiss on a suspected date in September, then later were seen being affectionate together at Mar-a-Lago and other locations in and around Palm Beach in South Florida in December, around the time that Don Jr. and Guilfoyle confirmed through media reports that they'd broken up.

The breakup was said to have been a mutually agreed-upon thing and the former couple -- who began dating in 2018 and got engaged in 2020 -- have remained friendly with no hard feelings toward each other, per multiple media reports.

That was made evident during President Trump's inauguration last week, when Don Jr., Anderson, and Guilfoyle were all in close proximity to each other at several events over that weekend but no dramatic confrontations erupted.

Guilfoyle "kept a watchful eye" on her former fiancé and his new flame

"Kim saw Don with Bettina and it was all civil. No negativity," an unnamed source who was at the inaugural events told People magazine. "She should be ambassador to Greece soon which is important to the administration, and she will be away a lot of the time. She is smart and dedicated. No need for animosity."

"Kim is still very fond of Don, and kept a watchful eye out," the source continued. "She knows how beautiful and well-dressed Bettina is, and there is no question that she was hurt when her romance with Don ended."

However, the anonymous source added, "Don Jr. and Kim have remained friends. She is a loyal and consistent Trump supporter, and adviser."
