Prince Andrew fears arrest in America as new Epstein ties are revealed
Prince Andrew is reportedly "terrified" to visit the United States, fearing he will face arrest over his infamous connection to Jeffrey Epstein.
After new bombshell e-mails challenged Andrew's official timeline of his friendship with the late pedophile, sources say he's "terrified."
"He [Andrew] is terrified if he goes to America he could be arrested, face civil action or be subpoenaed," a friend told The Sun.
It comes as President Trump's nominee for FBI director, Kash Patel, has pledged to do "everything" possible to expose the truth about Epstein and his associates.
Prince Andrew's fears
Prince Andrew's ties to Epstein fell under a microscope following the pedophile's 2019 death in a New York City prison while awaiting trial for sex trafficking. Andrew has barely left the U.K. since, only leaving once to see close friends in Bahrain.
"He used to be Air Miles Andy but he will never risk going to America again," the source told the Sun.
Andrew has long expressed remorse for associating with Epstein even after his 2010 release from jail on charges of sex with a minor. After Epstein's death, Andrew pled ignorance of his friend's horrid crimes.
But Andrew stayed close with Epstein longer than he let on, according to new emails released last week. In the exchange, dated February 2011, Andrew wrote to his pal, "Keep in close touch and we’ll play some more soon."
The cryptic emails contradict Andrew's comments in his infamous 2019 interview with the BBC, claiming he had severed all contact with Epstein in December 2010. The pair were pictured walking through Central Park in New York around that time.
Andrew isolated over scandal
While Andrew has never been accused of criminal wrongdoing, he settled a civil lawsuit with one of Epstein's alleged victims, paying an undisclosed sum to Virginia Giuffre.
Even as he reportedly feels trapped in his native country, Andrew's life at home has lost much of its luster, with the prince having been stripped of his titles by the late Queen Elizabeth II.
The latest evidence of his Epstein ties - and indications that he misled the public about how far they went - will alienate him further from the monarchy and, in all likelihood, the British public.
“The allegation of further contact with Epstein, which is coming out now, will be seen as further damage to the royal brand,” royal expert Ian Pelham Turner told Fox News.
“Andrew has become so toxic that any future attempt to reinvent himself as a working royal will fail.”
