Kimberly Guilfoyle highlights rose bouquet received from mysterious potential suitor while Don Jr. settles in with new girlfriend
After being engaged for more than half a decade, Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle publicly revealed that they'd parted ways late last year, with him quickly moving on to a new relationship with model and socialite Bettina Anderson.
There is speculation that Guilfoyle may have now moved on too, or at least is trying to make Don Jr. jealous, as she recently posted a photo of a bouquet of roses she'd received from a mysterious sender, according to TheList.
The move from Guilfoyle came just days after Anderson had shared a glimpse on social media of her expensive Valentine's Day plans with the president's eldest son.
Flowers, caviar, and Valentine's Day
According to the Daily Mail, Guilfoyle recently posted on her Instagram account a photo of a large bouquet of pink roses that had been delivered to her by a high-end florist in Miami, Florida, known as Le Boutique Royal, which retails for around $250.
The caption on the post said nothing more than "Thank you" followed by a pair of pink heart emojis, and it is unclear who may have sent the flowers to Guilfoyle.
Indeed, there is some speculation that Guilfoyle may have secretly sent the bouquet to herself as part of an effort to spark jealousy and remind her ex of what he lost, as well as to keep pace with or one-up his new girlfriend.
That is because, just days earlier, Anderson posted a photo on her Instagram account of a box of caviar and smoked fish from luxury retailer Portage Foods that cost nearly $1,000.
Anderson's caption for the photo said, "Ready for Valentine's Day," and included an emoji of champagne glasses clinking together followed by a white heart.
Guilfoyle posed for photo with Costner at Super Bowl
Given the lack of any information on who may have sent the bouquet of roses to Guilfoyle, the rumor mill quickly started churning and one possibility soon emerged.
According to Us Weekly, Guilfoyle was at the NFL's Super Bowl in New Orleans on Sunday and posed for a picture with Hollywood actor Kevin Costner, as well as a few other celebrities, while simultaneously Don Jr., three of his children, and Anderson were also at the big game.
Guilfoyle appeared dressed to impress with red leggings, black knee-high boots, a black top, and a black fur coat, while Costner appeared dressed for comfort in a pair of khakis and a white button-down shirt.
Both Guilfoyle and Costner were recently dumped
To be sure, aside from posing together for a photo at the Super Bowl, there is no other indication that Guilfoyle, 55, and Costner, 70, are an item, but The Mercury News reported that they both share something in common that could provide a basis for a relationship.
Both were essentially "blindsided" and dumped by their long-time significant other in the past couple of years -- Guilfoyle by Don Jr. after a six-year engagement, Costner by ex-wife Christine Baumgartner after 18 years -- after which their exes quickly and publicly moved on with new flames.
Guilfoyle and Costner may have just posed together as celebrities, and maybe they also commiserated together about being on the downside of a public break-up, but perhaps there was a little more to it and a new relationship was started -- which the paparazzi and gossip rags will undoubtedly report on breathlessly in the coming weeks and months, if that is the case.
