Trump torches McConnell after he joined Dems in voting against Gabbard, RFK
President Donald Trump and his White House were not thrilled with Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) this week as he was the only Republican senator to vote "no" on Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard's Senate confirmation.
According to Breitbart, Trump slammed McConnell after the vote was in, accusing McConnell of not being mentally equipped to do the job.
Embarrassing himself once again, McConnell was the only Republican senator to join Democrats in voting against Gabbard, who is more than qualified for the position and well respected on both sides.
McConnell also voted against Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Trump's Health and Human Services secretary.
What did Trump say?
Trump took a verbal sledgehammer to McConnell and the rest of the establishment Republican Party, saying they can all "go to hell."
"He’s not voting against Bobby," Trump said of McConnell’s vote against RFK. "He’s voting against me."
"If I didn’t come along, the Republican Party wouldn’t even exist right now,” Trump said of the Kentucky Republican. “He’s not equipped mentally. He wasn’t equipped ten years ago mentally, in my opinion. He let the Republican Party go to hell."

"He had an ability to raise money because of his position as leader, which anybody could do," Trump told one of the reporters in the room as he eviscerated McConnell, the former Republican Senate Leader.
Aside from hearing it from Trump, McConnell was absolutely obliterated across social media, with many wondering if he's even aware of the fact that he voted against both Trump picks or if he was forced to by his handlers.
Other concerns
Aside from seemingly losing touch with reality and the mandate of the American voter, McConnell's health issues, which seem to keep happening, have raised increased calls for him to retire.
Breitbart noted:
McConnell has had health issues for years. He fell down the stairs in February outside the Senate chamber, where reporters watched the octogenarian regain his footing, placing him in a wheelchair.
He's fallen several times and has also frozen up during mid-speech on more than one occasion, looking more like he should be in an assisted living facility than sitting in the U.S. Senate.
Hopefully, McConnell is on his way out.
