Donald Trump Jr. is finally making his new girlfriend "Instagram official."

Months after their relationship was leaked to the press, the president's eldest son brought Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson to the Super Bowl last weekend, where she joined Trump Jr. and his family - including President Trump - in the VIP box.

While Anderson has joined Trump Jr. at events before, this marks the first time he has posted images of her online, Palm Beach Post reports.

Trump Jr. goes public

In a subtle acknowledgment of his new relationship status, Trump Jr. posted selfies with Anderson and his kids from his past marriage to Vanessa Trump. Anderson did not make it into any shots with the president, however.

"Good times at the Super Bowl!" Trump Jr. wrote, next to a picture of him smiling with Anderson and his children.

The couple also appeared together at a red carpet event the day before the game.

For the most part, Trump Jr. has kept his romance discreet, and he has yet to directly comment on his new relationship.

While Valentine's Day might seem like an opportune moment to share an update, Trump Jr.'s only holiday-related post is a screen cap of a cheeky mass deportation meme from the White House. "Roses are red, violets are blue, come here illegally and we'll deport you," the spoof greeting card reads.

For her part, Anderson marked Valentine's Day with photos of an extravagant getaway on a private island - although Trump Jr. was not directly mentioned.

Relationship brings tensions

The rumors of their relationship emerged over the summer, when the Daily Mail caught wind of the affair shaking up Palm Beach's social scene. At the time, Don Jr. was still engaged to his fiancée of six years, Kimberly Guilfoyle.

In the wake of his father's re-election, Trump Jr. has started bringing Anderson to high-profile events, including President Trump's inauguration, where - awkwardly enough - Guilfoyle was also in attendance.

Guilfoyle - who President Trump has appointed U.S. ambassador to Greece - was also at the Super Bowl, in a sign of the lingering tensions Trump Jr. is facing as he embarks on this next chapter.

Trump Jr.'s friends and family have reportedly warned him against getting involved with Anderson, describing her as a social climber with a liberal past who could damage the MAGA brand. According to Mediate, none other than the president has expressed doubts about Anderson.

“Donald Trump does not approve of his son’s association with Bettina,” one close family friend claimed. “Bettina’s presence is seen as a liability rather than an asset.”
