Talent agency reportedly dropped Meghan Markle for being 'difficult to work with'
Meghan Markle has long had a reputation for conflict, and that reputation will likely be strengthened by a report released this week.
According to Page Six, the Duchess of Sussex was recently fired by her talent agency for being "too demanding" and "difficult to work with."
Talent agency represents Dwayne Johnson and Serena Williams
Page Six cited multiple unnamed sources who indicated that Markle and Hollywood talent agency WME had parted ways despite an official denial from WME.
The sources further stated that Markle has not met with WME head Ari Emanuel since January of last year despite regularly speaking with her agents.
However, the industry insiders clarified that WME is still representing Archewell, the California-based non-profit foundation created by Markle and her husband, Prince Harry.
Page Six noted how WME represents a number of famous clients, including actor and former professional wrestler Dwayne Johnson as well as tennis champion Serena Williams.
Sources say Markle bullied staff during her time living at Buckingham Palace
This far from being the first time Markle has faced accusations of being unfriendly, as Page Six reported two years ago that Buckingham Palace conducted an investigation into claims she had bullied staff members there.
Although the investigation's findings are said to have been "buried," the Sunday Times of London reported that two senior staff members ultimately quite their jobs while a third complained of being "humiliated."
Jason Knauf formerly served as Markle's press secretary, and he spoke this past weekend with "60 Minutes Australia" about having once sent a 2018 email regarding her behavior.
"I am very concerned that the duchess was able to bully two PAs out of the household in the past year," Knauf wrote in 2018.
Markle and Prince Harry said to have been offended by "Family Guy" scene
Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror reported late last year that sources said Markle and her husband were angered by a 2023 segment on the animated comedy program "Family Guy."
The scene showed Markle and her husband relaxing beside a pool as a butler brought them their "millions from Netflix for… no one knows what."
Harry is then portrayed as telling the butler to "put it with the rest of them" before Markle stated, "Babe, time to do our daily $250,000 sponsored Instagram post for Del Taco."
"What's hit them hardest and cuts the deepest of all is that it plays up the whole notion they're self-entitled grifters or spoilt brats," a source remarked.
