Six individuals have died in a plane crash on Saturday afternoon.

This comes not long after the crash of a helicopter in the Hudson River, which also claimed the lives of six individuals. There will be more on this in a moment.
But, we'll begin by looking at this latest crash.
Another fatal crash
According to Fox, the crash took place on Saturday afternoon in Copake, New York. The plane - a Mitsubishi MU-2B - specifically crashed in what the outlet describes as a "muddy field."
It reports:
Authorities are investigating after a plane carrying six people crashed in a muddy field near Copake, New York, Saturday afternoon. A Mitsubishi MU-2B headed to Columbia County Airport in Hudson, New York, crashed at about 12:15 p.m. local time, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
At the moment, it is only being assumed that all six individuals aboard the plane have died. Authorities have indeed indicated that the crash was fatal and they have also indicated how many individuals were on board, but authorities, at the time of this writing, have yet to indicate how many of those on board died.
Thus far, not much information has been provided about the crash. What may have caused remains unclear.
The investigation is being led by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
The latest on the Hudson River helicopter crash
We continue to learn more details about the Hudson River helicopter crash, and some of these details are troubling.
The New York Post, for example, reports, "The doomed helicopter that crashed in the Hudson River killing six Thursday was on its eighth flight of the day and lacked a flight recorder, according to officials."
The outlet continues:
The Bell 206 L-4 helicopter that crashed, tragically killing a family of five and a pilot, had completed seven tour flights on Thursday leading up to the doomed trip around the Hudson River, the National Transportation Safety Board said Saturday night. Officials stated that the chopper was not equipped with any flight recorders and no video or camera recorders have been recovered. Further, none of the helicopter’s onboard audio recorded information has been recovered, the release stated.
The helicopter itself has been recovered, and it is being investigated at NTSB laboratories in Washington, D.C.
Here, a cause for the crash has also yet to be officially determined.
