FBI: Wisconsin teen's Trump assassination attempt included murder of parents
A Wisconsin teenager was arrested for the alleged murder of his parents, but his motivation for the crime turned up the dial on the sickness factor.
Nikita Casap, who was 17 at the time of his arrest, is facing not only allegations of the murder of his parents but also a plot to assassinate President Donald Trump, as Breitbart News reported.
Casap allegedly needed to kill his parents in order to fund his assassination of Trump and assist him with overthrowing the U.S. government.
Recently, unsealed federal documents outlined a deluded train of rationality that could only come from the mind of someone deeply disturbed.
The charges
Casap was charged in March in Waukesha County on first-degree murder charges, as well as theft, and other crimes related to the deaths of his mother, Tatiana Casap, and his stepfather, Donald Mayer.
According to prosecutors, the suspect fatally shot the couple while at their home in Waukesha in February of this year.
While that is gruesome enough, he allegedly went on to live with their decomposing bodies for weeks.
The authorities say that he eventually escaped with fourteen thousand dollars in cash, the passports of his family, and the dog that they had.
The arrest
Casap was taken into custody in Kansas last month when he was discovered driving a vehicle that had been stolen and found to be in possession of a pistol as well as passports.
The arrest took place when the teenager, who had a history of "perfect" attendance, unexpectedly piled up two weeks of absences from Waukesha West High School during which he was not excused for any reason.
On a bond of one million dollars, Casap is still being held in the Waukesha County Jail.
From the Documents
"Casap appears to have written a manifesto calling for the assassination of the President of the United States," the search warrant states.
The documents went on to explain that, "He was in touch with other parties about his plan to kill the President and overthrow the government of the United States."
"The killing of his parents appeared to be an effort to obtain the financial means and autonomy necessary to carrying out his plan."
Should Casap have been successful in getting close to the president, his would have been the third close encounter attempt on Trump's life that was public enough for details to be published. Trump is currently serving his second, non-consecutive, term in office, to the sound of significant disagreement from the left.
