DANIEL VAUGHAN: Vile Leftist Antisemites Want To Kill Jewish Democrats Now
I'm used to media bias that ignores attacks on Republican politicians. The Congressional baseball field shooting is ignored in most political coverage, and the press moved on quickly from two assassination attempts on Trump and Brett Kavanaugh. It's strange to witness them do the same thing to a Democrat because he's Jewish.
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro is an observant Jew, and he and his family were attacked on the first day of Passover by a lunatic supporting Palestinians. This was, by all evidence we have, a brazen hate crime against a Jewish governor on one of the holiest weeks of the year for the Jewish people.
When the Charlottesville riots happened many years ago now, it was a multi-week outrage. Nick Sandmann experienced several weeks of outrage directed at him, which ended up in lawsuits and settlements against CNN and The Washington Post for defamation.
An antisemitic attack against a sitting Democratic governor is fading because the press doesn't want to acknowledge the problem in front of them. It's painfully obvious, too.
Here's another example involving a Democratic Senator: Chuck Schumer was forced to delay his book tour over security concerns. Schumer's book is called "Antisemitism in America: A Warning."
We're beyond warnings. The barbarians are through the gates, and they seek to kill Jews in America. That's a simple but accurate message that is getting ignored not just by the mainstream press but the political forces enabling antisemitism in this country.
The arsonist Cody Balmer "called 911 following the Sunday attack, identified himself by name, and delivered the chilling message addressed to the governor over the phone ... Balmer said he needed to know that Shapiro — who had hosted Passover dinner just hours before the attack — "will not take part in his plans for what he wants to do to the Palestinian people," the police warrant read."
Balmer said he would have beaten Shapiro's head in with a hammer if allowed. His hatred of Shapiro ran deep and tracked other antisemitism we've seen in the last few years.
It was clear what he wanted to do and why he wanted to do it. He wanted to murder Shapiro and his family on Passover. His motivation is no different than Hamas attacking Israel on October 7, during the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. The timing is not happenstance in these events - it's premeditated.
It's not the first time Shapiro's faith has been an issue for Democrats. During the 2024 election, he was a top contender to become Kamala Harris's running mate on the ticket. Anti-Israel factions of the Democratic Party blasted him, and soon after, Harris went with Tim Walz.
There's nothing particularly noteworthy about Shapiro's stances on Israel. Like most Americans, he supports Israel, and like most Democrats, he calls for a two-state solution. If anything, he leans to the left of Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman on the subject of Israel.
But that's not enough.
The antisemitic campus riots at Columbia and other Ivy League schools are proof of the virus spreading in deep-blue bastions of higher learning. Balmer wasn't in that stew of hatred and stupidity, but he wasn't far from them either in belief, thought, and action.
The results speak for themselves. Jewish enrollment at Ivy-League universities has plummeted. Jewish high school students are abandoning these places, and administrators do little to stem Jew-hatred from deepening.
As Balmer proves, we're seeing this spread beyond the universities and everywhere else. Those who would praise what Hamas does are now emulating them. The sole goal of the terrorist organization is murdering Jews. All the claims of caring for Palestinians are an excuse to attack Jews wherever they work, live, or play.
Schumer's warning is late. The barbarians are here, and we have to stop the tide now.
Harvard and other Ivy Universities are claiming victimhood as Trump demands they take action against rising antisemitism on their campuses. Harvard is refusing the demands.
Trump's task force on antisemitism noted, "The harassment of Jewish students is intolerable. It is time for elite universities to take the problem seriously and commit to meaningful change if they wish to continue receiving taxpayer support."
Harvard rejects this statement and any demands it stop anything. Much like Columbia University, they do nothing, whileJewish students are targeted, harassed, and smeared by vile racists merely for existing on college campuses.
We've gone from students to now Jewish Democratic governors facing assassination attempts on their lives and families. Antisemitic forces are escalating rapidly in America, and the press is losing its voice.
Why? It's clear which political party these antisemites feel comfortable being with at the moment. In fact, they feel so emboldened that they're attacking other Democrats.
Combatting antisemitism is not a political issue. The attacks we're witnessing make it clear: these racist forces will go after Jews no matter what political party is involved. Unfortunately, with few exceptions, the response to these antisemites is increasingly political because only one party is responding to the call.
Democrats and their media enablers need to wake up now. The time to act is now, not later.
