New York Democrats trying to shut down Tesla dealerships spark outrage from Trump administration

New York Democrats have worked to shut down Tesla dealerships in New York by revoking licenses to operate five in-person dealerships, apparently in order to target Elon Musk for his work with the Trump administration.

New York State Senator Patricia Fahy (D) introduced legislation to revoke the licenses because of Musk's close ties to the Trump administration and his advisory role with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

In pushing action against Musk, Fahy stated, "No matter what we do, we've got to take this from Elon Musk. He's part of an effort to go backwards."

New York Democrats aren't even trying to disguise this attack on Musk as they have openly stated that this legislative action is all about politics and targeting Musk for working with the Trump administration.

All-out assault on Tesla

The irony of this situation is that it was Fahy who was the key driver behind New York issuing the licenses to Tesla back when Musk was a beloved figure by the left for pushing electric cars.

New York Democrats initially pushed to allow Musk to establish brick-and-mortar Tesla dealerships, which would increase sales for electric vehicles, a key component of the Democrat Party's mission to cut emissions and boost clean energy.

However, the Democrat Party's climate agenda comes secondary to punishing anyone who is associated with the Trump administration. Leftists would rather have higher-emission vehicles on the road if it means Elon Musk is taking a hit.

Musk has been quiet on the issue, but in a post to X that was later deleted, Musk stated that it would be "improper for lawmakers to target a single person or company," suggesting that there could be a serious legal battle ahead.

Domestic terrorism

As for Tesla itself, the company has been hit hard by protests and boycotts from leftists. However, it is the domestic terrorism incidents that have really hit Tesla's stock price, something that the Trump administration is committed to addressing.

Several individuals have been arrested and are facing serious charges for firebombing Tesla cars and attacking Tesla dealerships in acts of political violence that the Trump administration is treating as domestic terrorism.

With Elon Musk stepping away from a full-time role at DOGE and returning to directly manage Tesla, the stock price has rebounded. However, the fight against Democrats is far from over.

Leftists in the crosshairs

President Donald Trump has gone as far as to threaten leftists who commit domestic terrorism with serving prison terms in El Salvador's state-of-the-art maximum security prisons designed to secure violent gang members.

While Trump's threats are likely empty due to the constitutional barriers to such a punishment, leftists who torch Tesla dealerships can expect to face the full force of the law.

In a post to Truth Social, Trump stated, "I look forward to watching the sick terrorist thugs get 20 year jail sentences for what they are doing to Elon Musk and Tesla. Perhaps they could serve them in the prisons of El Salvador, which have become so recently famous for such lovely conditions! People that get caught sabotaging Teslas will stand a very good chance of going to jail for up to twenty years, and that includes the funders. WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU!!!"

While the Trump administration works to arrest violent leftists, Elon Musk's lawyers will be busy getting ready to take on New York Democrats and stop their partisan targeting of Musk and Tesla.
