Trump touts perfect cognitive exam

President Trump received a perfect score on his cognitive test during his recent physical exam at Walter Reed.

The president boasted that he got "every question right" before the official results were shared with the public.

Trump aces test

The results of Trump's physical exam were unremarkable, although the doctor made note of a scar on Trump's right ear from the near-fatal attempt on his life in Butler, Pennsylvania last year.

Trump took the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, a common cognitive test, and received a score of 30 out of 30.

He has also lost about 20 pounds since his last exam in 2020, confirming speculation that the president has slimmed down. Trump's doctor, Sean Barbabella, attributed the president's robust health to his active lifestyle, noting his "frequent victories in golf events."

"His active lifestyle continues to contribute significantly to his well-being," the doctor wrote.

"President Trump exhibits excellent cognitive and physical health and is fully fit to execute the duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State."

Transparency restored

At 78 years old, Trump is the oldest president ever inaugurated. He is known for his extraordinary, age-defying stamina, and frequently engages with reporters in long, spontaneous question-and-answer sessions.

During an exchange aboard Air Force One, Trump touted his cognitive exam as an example of his transparency, after the four-year cover-up of Joe Biden's cognitive decline.

“I wanted to be a little different than Biden,” Trump told reporters. “I don’t know what to tell you other than I got every answer right,” the president said.

Indeed, Biden never submitted to a cognitive test during his single term, despite showing clear symptoms of trouble that worried the public. The president was pressured by his own Democratic allies to suspend his re-election campaign after a catastrophic meltdown in his only presidential debate against Trump.

Biden, faced with rapidly eroding political support, was pressed on taking a cognitive test by George Stephanopoulos in a post-debate interview, but Biden refused, claiming his job was enough of a test.

"I get a full neurological test every day with me and I’ve had a full physical,” Biden said at the time.

Since Biden left the White House, liberal journalists have published a series of accounts detailing the cover-up of Biden's decline, which went largely unnoticed by mainstream reporters during Biden's time in power. The recent exposés have elicited eye rolls from critics of the media, who see the sudden interest in the topic as calculated and hypocritical.
