Donald Trump Jr. admits he's considered running for president down the road
There are many of President Donald Trump's supporters who believe the Trump name could become a dynasty-level name in politics -- especially at the White House level.
While it's anyone's guess where the president's immediate family members and children will end up on the political scale, Donald Trump Jr. recently expressed interest in possibly following in his father's footsteps, according to the Washington Examiner.
During his speech at Bloomberg's Qatar Economic Forum on Wednesday, DJT said the "calling is there" to someday follow in his father's footsteps.
Even juicier was his second hint, when he was asked whether he would consider jumping in after his father ends his second and last term, to which DJT replied, "you never know."
What's going on?
Trump Jr. really stirred up the crowd with his initial answers to the question, with many in the audience applauding and cheering as he tackled the question.
"Here we go. Well ... oh boy," Trump Jr. began as applause rang out from the audience. "It’s an honor to be asked and an honor to see that some people are OK with it."
"So the answer is I don't know, maybe one day," Trump Jr. continued. "You know, that calling is there. I'll always be very active in terms of being a vocal proponent of these things."
The president's eldest son then redirected the question to praising his father for what many believe is a total transformation of the Republican Party on his father's watch, both times around.
“I think it's the 'America First' party now, the MAGA party, however you want to look at it,” DJT said, adding that his father has "created an environment where you no longer had these milquetoast Republicans dominating the Republican field."
While many in the MAGA world would certainly cheer Trump Jr. at jumping in the 2028 race, the man himself has said in the past that he's not interested, and would be glad to have Vice President J.D. Vance take the reins at that time.
Dad would help
President Trump has gone on record saying that he would gladly help his son win the White House should he ever choose that route.
"There are certain places where he couldn't be beaten," Trump said at the time. "I would help him."
Trump Jr. would easily be a top contender in any GOP nominee field for future presidential elections.
However, given how much the left and most of the media hate his father, he would have a mountain of negativity to overcome should he choose to seek the White House.
