Michelle Obama fantasizes about being single

Former First Lady Michelle Obama appeared to recently fantasize about the possibility of being single.

This has garnered a lot of attention, Fox News reports, because there have been significant rumors about the possibility that the Obamas may be on the verge of a divorce.

The former first lady and former president have been trying to tamp down on these rumors in various ways. Michelle Obama, though, recently took things in a different direction.

"If I'm a single girl . . ."

This all took place during a recent episode of Obama's podcast. There, she had as a guest Brian Chesky, the co-founder and CEO of Airbnb.

Apparently, the Obamas and Chesky are extremely close. The former first lady went so far as to say, "If I had a son, I would want my son to be Brian."

During the program, Fox reports:

The conversation addressed Chesky’s routine for hosting guests, where he explained how he would prepare dinner for them on the first night of their stay. When he mentioned his much-touted cookies, Mrs. Obama asked why she had not had them yet. Chesky answered that she would need to book a stay at his Airbnb to try them herself. The Airbnb CEO went on to note that his guests have all been great so far, but noted one went to great lengths to have an opportunity to stay with him.

It was at this point that the former first lady jumped in with an interesting hypothetical.

She said:

I have to say, Brian, if I'm a single girl out there, and I find out that Brian Chesky is single, and I can, like, stay in his house, have you ever -

What an eyebrow raiser

Suffice it to say that this statement from the former first lady has caught the attention of many.

This, of course, is because there have been widespread rumors about alleged marital problems that the Obamas are having.

The Daily Mail reports:

The odd exchange comes as Michelle and Barack face ongoing rumors about their marriage status - spurred by the former First Lady's noticeable absence at President Donald Trump's inauguration and Jimmy Carter's funeral.

To a large extent, the Obamas have been trying to silence these rumors. But, they each have also added fuel to the fire.

The outlet continues:

Former President Obama's remarks last month that he is in a 'deep deficit with my wife' and has been trying to schedule fun things for them to do added fuel to the fire. And for her part, Michelle shared her personal grievances with her husband, like his former impunctuality and lack of deep conversations with his golf friends.
