DANIEL VAUGHAN: Trump Should Declare Palestinian Groups As Terrorist Organizations

Once again, Americans supporting Israel were attacked. Once again, a terrorist screaming in support of Palestine has attempted to murder others. The people who believe in "intifada" are showing who and what they are, and we need to take them at their word. Donald Trump needs to declare them terrorist organizations and unleash the federal government on them.

It is still early, but FBI Director Kash Patel has called the attack at Pearl Street Mall in Colorado a terrorist attack. According to reports, "Witnesses at the scene told CBS Colorado that the suspect attacked people with Molotov cocktails who were participating in a walk to remember the Israeli hostages who remain in Gaza."

It's unknown at this time whether the attacker was connected with any of the typical groups that we've seen so far. Still, it's not hard to imagine they at least emboldened him. We witnessed this in Washington D.C., where a pro-Palestinian monster gunned down two innocent people in cold blood at a Jewish museum.

What's galling about the Washington D.C. shooting is that not only is it getting forgotten in the media, it's one of many such instances. Boulder, Colorado, and Washington D.C. are in line with what happened to Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, whose house was firebombed during Passover.

The DSA Liberation Caucus, "a self-identified Marxist-Lenist-Maoist caucus within the DSA," openly supported the D.C. shooter, "glorified [Elias Rodriguez] in a social media post that appeared to be a direct call for more domestic terrorism."

The time for half-measures is over.

These are domestic terrorist groups, and the federal government needs to act on that knowledge. The Democratic Party cannot be counted on to help push back against this evil, which leaves the President, Congress, and FBI to act now.

The United States needs to follow Israel's example on this front. Left-wing groups were mad in 2021 when Israel declared six groups terrorist organizations. Joe Biden did nothing in his four years to combat rising anti-semitism.

Donald Trump needs to change the designation to all these so-called student groups assaulting Jews and others on college campuses and declare them terrorists. We're doing a similar thing with Chinese students acting as spies. It's time to crack down on those who abuse American hospitality and attempt to murder Jews on our soil.

Seth Mandel gets this exactly right in Commentary, "'Globalize the intifada' cannot be 'interpreted by some Jews as a call for violence.' It simply is. We do not say that when Elias Rodriguez allegedly pointed a loaded gun at Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky, his actions were 'interpreted by some Jews as a threat.' When he allegedly squeezed the trigger, it was not 'interpreted by some Jews' as murder. What he was doing at that moment was globalizing the intifada, just as he'd been told to do for the better part of two years by everyone with a Ph.D."

What is true of Washington D.C. is true of Boulder, and the same is true in Colorado. These attacks are coming from people who hold the same beliefs: Jews do not have the right to exist or defend themselves.

However, the evolution happening in America is adding something else. If you support Jews, you also do not have the right to defend yourself or advocate for the peaceful release of Jews. The attack in Colorado targeted a group of people, raising awareness of the fact that hostages are still being kept by Hamas, which wields the live and dead with equal impunity.

When people cannot safely go out and advocate for the release of hostages - which should be something that 100% of people support - we've jumped beyond protesting. These so-called pro-Palestoininas are just antisemitic filth that want to kill Jews. That's all it comes down to.

Right now, the tools of choice are Molotov cocktails and arson. That was what happened to Governor Shapiro, and it's how the people in Colorado were targeted. In Washington D.C., the man emptied a full clip into two victims before shouting, "Free Palestine."

When people tell you who they are, believe them. This is the face of the pro-Palestinian movement. It seeks the death of Jews while cloaking itself with false notions of peace. Killing people in cold blood is not peace.

And we, as a country, should not offer them peace. Declare these groups as terrorist organizations, dry up the dark money flood from liberal groups, and put people behind bars. Finally, we should openly help Jews and groups defending them with firearms. It's no longer safe in America, but we do have the right to protect ourselves if states and local groups will not.

The time to act is now. People's lives are at stake.

" A free people [claim] their rights, as derived from the laws of nature."
