Former First Lady Michelle Obama has seemingly worked overtime recently to help put divorce rumors to rest, though many believe the Obamas are still on the rocks, at the very least.

According to reports, Michelle Obama wrote a touching Father's Day tribute that included her husband, saying that Barack has "always been there" in the post.

Included in the post was a rare throwback photo that showed Michelle and Barack with their daughters Malia and Sasha from 2004, when they were small children.

In the Instagram post, Michelle Obama took a trip down memory lane, writing that she loves looking back on pictures of her daughters when they were much younger, as any parent does.

What did she say?

The Instagram post shared a picture of the Obama family sitting on a couch with the girls sitting on their laps, complete with big smiles from all.

"I love looking back at photos like this of when our girls were younger. @BarackObama has always been there for us no matter what — even when it felt like the weight of the world was on his shoulders. We’ve always been so grateful. To Barack and all the dads and father-figures celebrating today, Happy Father’s Day!"

The photo in the post was from when Barack Obama was a U.S. Senate candidate waiting for election results to come in.

While she has shot down any rumors of divorce being true, she has admitted that her marriage has been strained in the past because of her husband's political career.

"I was a very different First Lady," Michelle said earlier this year during a podcast.

“Not terribly different from Hillary Clinton, but it was a different time. We had small kids in the White House, and that didn’t happen often. There were just accommodations and ways that the West Wing didn’t think about or work to fully protect all of us in the process as a unit."

She added, "I was trying to make sure that our kids came out of that process not crazy, and whole,” she said about her daughters, who were only 10 and 7 when their dad was elected president."

Divorce on the horizon?

Michelle had opted out of appearing with her husband for several major events over the past year, stirring speculation that the two were on the way to a potential split.

Both Obamas have attempted to quell the divorce rumors, but some believe it's still possible.

Only time will tell if they stay together or call it quits.
