Republicans investigate who ran White House in Biden's final months

Any reasonable and clear-minded person could see former President Joe Biden's cognitive condition sharply decline in the last few years of his presidency, even as his own party attempted to cover it up.

According to The Hill, several high-profile Republicans made waves in Washington D.C. this week after accusing Biden's former staffers, his family members, members of Congress and much of the media of covering for the ailing former president.

There was even a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on the matter, led by Sens. John Cornyn (R-TX) and Eric Schmitt (R-MO).

However, the senators made their claims to a mostly-empty room, as all of the Democrats on the committee decided to boycott, ironically once again pretending that it wasn't an issue.

What happened?

Sen. Cornyn held nothing back in his opening statement for the powerful committee hearing, which was mostly attended by Republicans and their staffers.

"There was a conspiracy to hide the president’s true condition by his family, by his staff, by the media, and many elected officials."

He added, "This was a constitutional crisis bigger than President Biden, bigger than any single election, and one that cannot be absolved by the collective apology of the press and an election where the president’s party lost."

At issue is the big, open question regarding who was really running Biden's White House in the final months of his presidency. Many insiders have come forth since he's been out of office and claimed that it most certainly wasn't Joe Biden running the show.

"We need to know who was in charge during the last months of the Biden administration," Cornyn said.

"Was it his wife, his chief of staff, nameless others? None of these people were elected by the American people, nor were they authorized by the Constitution and laws of the United States to carry out the duties of the president of the United States."

Schmitt chimes in

Sen. Schmitt also made his feelings on the matter crystal clear, claiming the former president was clearly "unfit" to carry out his duties in his final months in office.

"Given his mental incapacity, the American people deserve to know who was running the country the last four years," Schmitt said.

The Hill added:

Schmitt called it “deeply disappointing” that most Democrats on the panel chose to “boycott” the meeting and decided not to call a single witness to testify.

Only time will tell if Republicans get to the bottom of what was really going on at that time.
