Clinton's own campaign manager says Democrats are 'leaderless'

Patti Solis Doyle, the former campaign manager of Hillary Clinton just stated the obvious, namely, that the Democrats, right now, appear to be "leaderless" and struggling.

Breitbart News reports that Solis Doyle made the remark during a recent appearance on Mark Halperin's podcast.

Even though many already know what Solis Doyle said to be true, it is still a significant admission, given the fact that Solis Doyle is a veteran strategist for Democrats.

All problems, no answers

Solis Doyle, during the podcast appearance, highlighted some of the major problems that the Democrats are currently facing.

She said:

The other problem that they have is that there’s no real leader. If your party holds the White House, the leader of the party is the president. If your party doesn’t hold the White House, the leader of the party is the last president of that party. So right now, for us, that’s Joe Biden.

Obviously, this is a big problem.

She explained:

But he has completely — he’s off the radar completely … So right now, we’re leaderless, we’re messageless, we’re agendaless. We don’t have any alternative ideas to the president’s and the Republicans’ right now. So I’m concerned to say the least.

Some are arguing that Solis Doyle is kind of overlooking something here, namely, the idea that Biden never really was any of these things, which begs the question, who actually was leading the Democratic Party during Biden's presidency?

"I have never been happier..."

Solis Doyle began the interview by saying that, given the current situation, she has "never been happier" to not be involved in politics.

She said:

So, first, let me say that I have never been happier not to be actually in it, in the middle of politics, than I am right now, because it sounds really depressing, what's going on at the party.

The big question, of course, is where the Democrats are going to go from here.

Although we are still early in Trump's presidency, the fact of the matter is that the midterms are not that far away, and it will not be long before candidates start entering the race for the 2028 election.

At this particular moment, there do not appear to be any Democrats who would be able to pose a challenge to a Trump-backed Republican candidate, such as Vice President J.D. Vance. But, of course, a lot can change between now and then.
