John Fetterman calls Trump's decision to bomb Iran 'the correct move'
President Donald Trump made headlines this past weekend when he announced a "very successful attack" on Iran's nuclear facilities.
While some Democrats condemned the move, Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman called it "the correct move."
Fetterman: "Iran is the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism"
According to the New York Post, Fetterman voiced his approval in an X post on Sunday, writing, "As I’ve long maintained, this was the correct move by [President Trump].
As I’ve long maintained, this was the correct move by @POTUS.
Iran is the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism and cannot have nuclear capabilities.

"Iran is the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism and cannot have nuclear capabilities. I’m grateful for and salute the finest military in the world," he continued.
Fetterman also included a screenshot of an earlier Truth Social post in which Trump provided details concerning Saturday's bombing raid.
The president explained that "a full payload of BOMBS" had been dropped on the nuclear facility of Fordow along with the uranium enrichment sites at Natanz and Esfahan.
House speaker joins Fetterman in praising raid
The Post noted how Fetterman was joined in praising Trump's actions by House Speaker Mike Johnson, who quickly released a statement.
"The military operations in Iran should serve as a clear reminder to our adversaries and allies that President Trump means what he says," it read.
"The President gave Iran’s leader every opportunity to make a deal, but Iran refused to commit to a nuclear disarmament agreement," Johnson stressed.
The speaker concluded by writing, "This is America First policy in action. God bless our brave men and women in uniform – the most lethal fighting force on the planet – and we pray for their safe return home. May God bless America."
Fetterman's name was booed at anti-Trump protest
This is not the first time that Fetterman has sided with Trump in recent days, as last week he welcomed the president's decision to hold a parade in honor of the Army's 250th birthday.
"This parade is comprised of our sons, daughters, mothers and fathers—the very best of us," the Democratic lawmaker declared in an X post.
Fox News reported how Fetterman's words with met by derision from some on the left, with his name being booed at an anti-Trump "No Kings" protest that was being held in Philadelphia.
