This month saw Los Angeles descend into chaos as rioters took to the streets in response to raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids.

However, Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino recently boasted that over 700 of the alleged perpetrators have since been arrested.

Bongino: Many arrestees "are members of organized groups"

According to Breitbart, Bongino made the announcement in a social media post this past weekend, writing, "We warned those violently acting out in the recent riots that we would not tolerate it, and we would not forget."

"Over 700 arrests have been made in coordination with our federal and state partners. Many of those arrests are members of organized groups, and we are pouring through data in pursuit of more bad actors. We are not done," the official continued.

We are in the process of identifying and moving in on those who threw rocks at law enforcement officers and damaged property. I told you we would not forget. I wasn’t kidding. Stay tuned for more," Bongino went on to add.

FBI has arrested hundreds of child sex predators

Along with going after rioters, Bongino also highlighted his agency's efforts aimed at targeting child sex predators and freeing their victims.

"Operation 'Restoring Justice' apprehended 205 child sex predators and 764 purveyors, while rescuing 115 children," Bongino wrote.

"Operation 'Soteria Shield' resulted in the apprehension of 244 child predators, and 109 children were rescued," he stressed.

The deputy FBI director concluded by declaring, "This is just the beginning. If you’re preying on children, we are coming for you."

California man accused of possessing child sexual abuse material

The FBI revealed in a May press release that "Operation Restore Justice" was "a five-day, sweeping FBI initiative to identify, track, and arrest child sex predators across the country in coordination with all 55 of our FBI field offices."

Among those taken into custody was 34-year-old Hayward, California resident Erik Antonio Contreras, who was arrested on April 30.

The press release explained that "Contreras allegedly had expressed a desire to engage in sexual conduct with a 12-year-old girl.

"After the execution of a search warrant in October 2023, law enforcement recovered over 1,000 media files consistent with child sexual abuse materials on Contreras’ electronic devices," it added.
