CNN anchor actually praises Trump's success

A CNN anchor recently praised the successes of President Donald Trump.

This is despite the fact that, as the Daily Mail points out, the anchor - Sara Sidner - has proven over the years that she is no fan of Trump's.

The truth is actually the exact opposite. This is what makes this praise so unexpected. Take a look:

"Here are some things that have happened..."

During the segment, Sidner was speaking with U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL).

Sidner began:

Here are some things that have happened: Gas prices down. Economic indicators are decent. Brand new job report shows that's much better than expected and border crossings are down. And now, Trump's mega spending bill looks like it's going to be passed by Republicans. How do you Democrats fight back with the wins that Trump can tout?

It is an uncharacteristically good question from CNN.

Wasserman-Schultz was not happy.

According to the Daily Mail, she replied:

"Well, it depends how you define wins, Sara," before launching into a heated tirade against Trump - even pointing out that his bill goes against past promises not to touch Medicaid or Medicare.

Background

This all comes as Trump and congressional Republicans managed to pass the "big, beautiful bill."

The legislation crossed the final hurdle last week, when it made it through the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 218 to 214. There were two Republicans who joined their Democratic counterparts in voting against the bill.

Trump celebrated the victory throughout the Fourth of July Weekend, signing the "big, beautiful bill" into law on Friday. He has made it clear that he expects the bill will lead to great things for America.

At roughly the same time, we also received the latest jobs report. Breitbart News reports:

Employers in the United States added 147,000 workers to their payrolls in June, the Department of Labor said Thursday, and the unemployment rate declined to 4.1 percent,  defying predictions of labor market sluggishness following the implementation of President Trump’s tariffs.

As Sidner put it, Trump and Republicans are currently doing a lot of winning, which is probably one of the main reasons why Democrats have been so silent. It is hard to argue against such success.
