Here's what we know:
The charges stem from an incident with the mother of his children.
The Daily Caller reports:
Davis attended his ex-girlfriend’s home in Florida on Father’s Day to pick up his children but the two began to argue, according to an arrest report obtained by Local 10 News. Davis allegedly told his ex to take their kids out of his car as he no longer wanted to take them. Police claimed the boxer struck the rear of her head and then slapped her face when she tried to reach for their daughter in the back seat. The alleged victim suffered a minor laceration to the inner area of her lip.
Apparently, there is solid evidence of what happened.
The outlet continues:
Police claimed the alleged victim texted her mother to say Davis was attacking her and asked her to go outside. Her mother left their home and witnessed her daughter crying while in a verbal dispute with Davis, according to the police report. The mother allegedly filmed some of the incident with her cellphone and captured Davis throwing a small box at his ex.
Police arrested Davis. He has been charged with battery.
