Some in the conservative movement have suggested that Attorney General Pam Bondi should be ousted for failing to disclose more information on deceased finance mogul and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Yet in a bombshell move, President Donald Trump recently defended his attorney general and pushed back on those calling for her firing.

Trump says Bondi "is doing a FANTASTIC JOB"

According to Breitbart, the president made his position on Bondi's performance in a statement posted to Truth Social this past weekend.

"What’s going on with my 'boys' and, in some cases, 'gals?' They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB!" Trump wrote on Saturday.

"We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening. We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and 'selfish people' are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein," he continued.

"They created the Epstein Files, just like they created the FAKE Hillary Clinton/Christopher Steele Dossier that they used on me, and now my so-called ‘friends’ are playing right into their hands," Trump insisted.

"Why didn’t these Radical Left Lunatics release the Epstein Files?" the president demanded before asking, "If there was ANYTHING in there that could have hurt the MAGA Movement, why didn’t they use it?"

Alleged clash between Bondi and FBI deputy director

Trump's remarks came on the same day the New York Post published an article which claimed that FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino might resign following a clash with Bondi.

It cited a source who said that Bongino and the attorney general had a heated exchange earlier in the week, following which Bongino took a personal day.

"I don’t think Dan comes back if Pam stays," the White House source was quoted as saying of the FBI deputy director and Bondi.

What's more, the source went on to speculate that if Bongino leaves the Trump administration, then he may not be alone in doing so.

Source says FBI Director Kash Patel may leave as well

"[FBI Director Kash Patel] and Dan have always been aligned and it’s unclear what would happen in that situation, but, you know, both of them have fought for transparency — and in a world where that’s being stifled, it wouldn’t be shocking to see them stand up for that," the source asserted.

The alleged confrontation between Bongino and Bondi is said to have taken place less than a week after the Department of Justice (DOJ) denied that Epstein maintained a list of powerful figures who abused minors.

"There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions," an FBI memo said according to Axios.
