Ex-Epstein lawyer agrees to be witness in Trump's defamation case against the Wall Street Journal
One of Jeffrey Epstein's former lawyers has just publicly stated that he is willing to be a witness for President Donald Trump in the lawsuit that Trump has brought against the Wall Street Journal.
The Daily Caller reports that Alan Dershowitz, the renowned defense attorney, said as much during an appearance over the weekend on "Sunday Agenda."
Dershowitz seems to be in agreement with Trump about the alleged Epstein letter that the Journal recently published and that is at the heart of Trump's lawsuit against the publication.

The Wall Street Journal printed a FAKE letter, supposedly to Epstein. These are not my words, not the way I talk. Also, I don’t draw pictures. I told Rupert Murdoch it was a Scam, that he shouldn’t print this Fake Story. But he…

Background
Last week, the Wall Street Journal published what many are referring to as a "hit piece" against Trump.
In the piece, according to Breitbart News, the Journal claimed that Trump had sent a "lewd" letter to Epstein on Epstein's 50th birthday.
Trump responded almost immediately, insisting that the letter is fake. He wrote:
The Wall Street Journal printed a FAKE letter, supposedly to Epstein. These are not my words, not the way I talk. Also, I don’t draw pictures. I told Rupert Murdoch it was a Scam, that he shouldn’t print this Fake Story. But he did, and now I’m going to sue his ass off, and that of his third rate newspaper. Thank you for your attention to this matter! DJT
Trump has already made good on his word, bringing a lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal. In that lawsuit, Trump is alleging libel.
Now, one of Epstein's former lawyers is offering to be a witness for Trump.
"I'll probably be called as a witness..."
Dershowitz, in his recent news interview, said that he expects to be called as a witness in the case.
He explained:
I’ll probably be called as a witness in the case, because they also called me, and they said that you wrote him a letter with a mock cover of Vanity Fair. And I said, ‘I may have, I don’t remember, this was 23 years ago. Just send me a copy of the letter with my signature and I’ll tell you whether it’s authentic or not,’ and they said they couldn’t do it. And so they published the story without authenticating it with me, and that will be an important point in trying to prove malice, so I suspect I will be a witness if this case ever goes to trial.
Dershowitz, given his connection to Epstein, has been making news headlines in the past couple of weeks for other reasons as well.
He, for example, has argued that there is an Epstein cover-up, but it is the courts rather than the Trump administration who are not letting the information get out.
Dershowitz has also argued that, if we really want to know the truth about the Epstein situation, Epstein's chief accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, ought to be given immunity to testify before Congress.
