Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche made headlines late last week when he asked a federal judge to unseal grand jury testimony relating to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

Yet Blanche isn't alone in asking about Epstein and Maxwell, as congressional Republicans have called Bill and Hillary Clinton to testify on their relationship with the pair.

House subpoenas name the Clintons as well as other former federal officials

According to Breitbart, a motion to subpoena the former president and first lady was introduced during a Federal Law Enforcement Subcommittee hearing on Wednesday by Pennsylvania Republican Rep. Scott Perry.

Motion, which demanded that Mr. and Mrs. Clinton appear before the House Oversight Committee, was passed via a voice vote.

However, the New York Post pointed out that House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer must formally issue the subpoenas for them to take effect.

Perry's motion also named former Special Counsel Robert Mueller along with former Attorneys General Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, Merrick Garland, Bill Barr, Jeff Sessions and Alberto Gonzales.

Records show ties between the Clintons, Epstein, and Maxwell go back decades

Fox News reported in 2016 that Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) logs show former President Clinton took at least 26 flights on Epstein's private airplane, which was nicknamed the "Lolita Express."

What's more, the former president apparently ditched members of his Secret Service protective detail for at least five of those 26 flights.

Meanwhile, the Post reported in 2021 that Epstein made 17 visits to the White House at various points during Clinton's time in office.

This included one visit in 1993 that saw Epstein and Maxwell get photographed with him while taking a tour of the East Room along with the presidential residence.

Clinton admitted to having been on Epstein's plane but denied any wrongdoing

Breitbart observed that for his part, Mr. Clinton admitted to having traveled on Epstein's private plane in his 2024 book titled "Citizen: My Life After the White House."

However, the former president steadfastly denied being involved in any wrongdoing and insisted that he was only present as part of his work with the Clinton Global Initiative.

"I wish I had never met him," Breitbart quoted the former president as saying of Epstein. He went on to lament that his affiliation with the convicted sex offender was "not worth the years of questioning afterward."
