The raging, radical liberals who make up the co-host panel of "The View" announced this week that the show is taking a "hiatus," and it came just a day after President Donald Trump demanded that the show be taken off the air.

According to the Daily Mail, "The View" co-host Joy Behar seemingly slipped in revealing that the show will go on "hiatus" during a segment this week, quickly turning to what was presumably a producer and asking if it was "ok to say that."

"Before we go on hiatus, we only have one more show after this," Behar said.

In what was described as a "conspiratorial" tone, she turned to the cameras and said, "I'm allowed to say that, right?"

What's going on?

After Behar asked if it was ok that she let that information slip, co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin joking said, "too late now."

Notably, a statement from the White House a day before Behar's slip said the show should be "pulled off the air."

The outlet noted:

A day before Behar's announcement, the White House issued a statement calling her 'an irrelevant loser' after she claimed on The View that Trump was 'jealous' of former President Barack Obama.

"It's no surprise that "The View's" ratings hit an all-time low last year," a White House spokesperson said in response. "[Behar] should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump's historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off air," Behar said.

The White House was fast to respond to the attack.

"It's no surprise that "The View's" ratings hit an all-time low last year," a White House spokesperson said in response. "[Behar] should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump's historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off air."

It was noted that ABC producers indicated that the hiatus was normal, and that "The View," like similar shows, typically takes a summer break and comes back for a new season in the fall.

Social media reacts

Users across social media reacted to the news of "The View" going on hiatus until fall.

"The real hiatus started when y’all stopped being relevant and started being background noise," one X user wrote.
