Former President Joe Biden’s “Politburo” staffers have testified about Biden’s performance in office, and the results were underwhelming.

According to Bruce Reed, 65, who was formerly a deputy chief of staff for policy under Biden, the former president’s mental abilities were the result of a simple verbal issue, and nothing else, according to The New York Post.

“Mr. Reed claimed in his transcribed interview that Joe Biden’s debate performance was the result of his stutter,” said a source familiar with the testimony.

Reed was questioned directly about whether Biden's mental status was cause for concern, as many stated during his time in office, but Reed said he believes there was nothing to worry about: "He believes Americans should not have had any concerns about the President’s mental faculties.”

Another Aide

During the last week of July, news broke that former White House officials were being questioned by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, and it’s possible some would be held accountable for covering Biden’s insufficiencies.

Former White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain was one of those questioned after intense criticism by President Donald Trump about Biden's mental status and use of the pen in the White House.

Like some of Biden’s other aides, Klain answered questions carefully, but unlike some of the others, he didn’t invoke his Fifth Amendment rights when questioned.

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) said that Klain was “not trying to avoid answering the questions” and seemed to be “answering the questions carefully … I think he is telling what he knows accurately,” Biggs asserted.

More Interviews

The Oversight committee also spoke to several others who worked under Biden, and a few of those who were questioned didn’t comment at all.

Included in the group who were questioned was Anthony Bernal, who was the former chief of staff to first lady Jill Biden.

Deputy director of Oval Office operations Annie Tomasini was also less helpful than Klain, as was Biden’s former White House doctor, Kevin O’Connor.

According to Hunter Biden, the elder Biden's horrible performances in front of the camera could have been partly because of Ambien use.

“I know exactly what happened in that debate. He flew around the world, basically at the mileage that he could have flown around the world three times,” Hunter said during an interview with Channel 5’s Andrew Callighan.

“He’s 81 years old. He’s tired as shit. They give him Ambien to be able to sleep. He gets up on the stage, and he looks like he’s a deer in the headlights.”
